Beth is a Portland-based artist and vocalist whose practice spans painting, drawing, and performance. She combines her love of Tracy Chapman (FAST CAR WAS RELEASED ON HER DAY OF BIRTH; Tracy and Beth share sun & moon placements if you’re into that kind of thing; Beth is a Portland based, white woman naturally eager to identify even tangential commonalities) jazz, musical theater, songwriting, absurdity and ephemerality to create work that connects visual and musical storytelling. Her newest project—an original musical play—brings these creative worlds together.
